Current SIA Activities:
Referral to Services- Financial assistance, educational opportunities, community resources that may be of assistance to those in need.
Yearly Convention- Yearly convention for survivors of institutional abuse.
Speak Out- Speak out to congress and law makers to share experiences educating them on the lifelong effects of institutional abuse.
SIA Future Goals:
Group meetings – Share experiences in a confidential setting bringing a sense of belonging, solidarity, and acceptance.
Peer Mentorship- help direct the life path of those affected by institutional abuse
Reunion/Retreat- To bring together those who were impacted by abuse at the same facility.
