Advocate Sites

SIA believes engaging as many people as possible in fact-based advocacy.  We are committed to gathering the facts, educating the public, and advocating for children and survivors of institutional abuse— SIA wants to sincerely thank all those who are advocating to end institutional abuse and protecting youth against institutional abuse. We all have different talents and abilities and are working towards positive change. It is beautiful to see advocates working together and supporting one another.

What Is Advocacy?

The act or process of supporting a cause or proposal, Merriam Webster Dictionary

Effective advocates influence public policy, laws and budgets by using facts, their relationships, the media, and messaging to educate government officials and the public on the changes they want to bring for children, adult survivors,  and their families.
